WHAT IS WELLBEING COACHING

When it comes to wanting to make improvements to our lives, we usually know who or what to turn to. If you were sick, you would go to GP; if you were looking to get fit and lose weight, you might see a personal trainer. If you're feeling stuck and need some inspiration, you might resort to a bestselling self-help book or podcast. You may come away with some instructions, perhaps some useful tips and possibly a prescription. But how much fundamentally changes for you as a person, to ensure you will continue to live well in the future?

This is something coaching can offer.

Traditionally speaking, ‘pure’ coaching, as it is referred to, is used to address one aspect of an individual’s life such as business coaching to help achieve a certain professional status. It allows you to get really close to what you want to get from life and put in the necessary steps to getting there.

It’s the job of the coach to guide and support you in the process and uncover what you are really capable of.

The word wellbeing is thrown around all the time these days, but essentially addresses how satisfied you feel about yourself and in all aspects in your life. This can include how you feel about your health, your work and purpose in life, your relationships and environment. In fact, there are a total of 8 possible areas to address when it comes to wellbeing,

Wellbeing coaching takes a holistic approach, allowing you to work on all these areas to improve your wellbeing. Working in this way can offer much more profound and longer lasting results, as typically when one area of an individual’s life improves, others areas naturally improve too.

Coaching allows you to get crystal clear on what you want your ideal state of wellbeing to look like. Where are you, what are you wearing, how are you feeling, what's the date, what are you eating/drinking, who are you with?

Once you are clear on what you want to work towards, we put relevant, realistic and manageable steps in place to help you get there. In the process, we may explore what might be stopping you from moving forward and getting what you truly want, in a safe, non-judgmental space. As your coach, it's my job  to encourage, inspire and provide the necessary tools to assist you in staying on track and heading in the direction of your ideal outcome.

You might use wellbeing coaching to get fitter, drop a dress size or working towards healing from a chronic condition such as ME, chronic fatigue and fibromyalgia, where this type of coaching is used for recovery.

What makes Wellbeing Coaching unique, is that as your coach I can offer guidance and expertise at the end of a session, to help you progress, or refer you to another therapy that may be better suited. Each session however, is dictated by you and based on your motivations and desires in moving forward.

The potential gain from this kind of work can help people rediscover what makes them jump out of bed in the morning, heal from poor health or change their entire outlook on life, simply from being given the chance to re-assess their priorities and be armed with the tools to make it all happen.

If you’re looking for a new change and want to start living the life you’ve always wanted to, Wellbeing Coaching might be the first step in getting there. Enquire now and book a free call to discuss how it can help you.

WHAT MAKES COACHING DIFFERENT

8 Elements of
Wellbeing

I feel that subconsciously this course was training you to set your own goals going forward without the need of someone else facilitating it. It also gave me the drive and motivation to do things I’ve been meaning to do as the course brings a timeframe structure to your week.

You, personally, are very approachable and easy to open up to which didn’t make me feel self conscious about opening up to a stranger (for want of a better word!)

This was my first time experiencing coaching and/or wellbeing sessions and I thoroughly enjoyed all of them.

Minal was warm and approachable throughout, which enabled me to open up about why I am ‘wired' the way I am. I learnt a lot about myself, and how I can be the best version of myself in a way that isn’t daunting at all.

Minal was able recognise my concerns from the start of the session and adapt each session accordingly, which really helped me on a week by week basis.
