About Me

In 2015 I’d been working in publishing for over 5 years, selling advertising space representing some of the world’s biggest fashion and interior brands. For most of the part, it was a lot of fun.

I worked in a small and brilliant team and we made the most of the fun socials, the odd trip to Paris and of course, there were endless glossy magazines to flick through.

After a while though, I realised I was unhappy and unfulfilled. Monday morning's were filled with a sense of dread in anticipation of another week of stressful work that I just wasn't passionate about any more.

I found myself comparing my day to that of a nurse. What would it be like to spend my time and efforts on something I really cared about, that meant I was able to make an actual difference?

None the wiser, I quit my job and travelled to South East Asia, India and New Zealand for an unforgettable 4 and a half months. Nutrition wasn’t even on my radar, but once I got back and started pencilling ideas for what to do next, I wondered why I hadn’t thought of it before. I love all things food and was intrigued by the idea of using food to better health. Living in an Indian household, I’d been exposed to this concept with traditional Ayurvedic home remedies given to me as a child for coughs, colds and sprains.

One of the most noteworthy books I'd read that year was Dr Andrew Weill’s Eating Well for Optimum Health that I’d picked up from an Oxfam bookshop unintentionally the summer before that shed light on how powerful food can be in healing the body and preventing disease. It felt as if I was being nudged in the right direction and finally found something I really cared about and wanted to spend my time doing.

I trained with CMN London for 3 years, learning about intricacies of the body systems and disease, alongside just how beautifully food can help to heal and allow the human body to thrive.

More recently, I qualified as an ILM accredited Wellbeing & Trauma Informed Coach with the Chrysalis Effect, with whom I am also a FHT accredited Foundation Level Practitioner in M.E/chronic fatigue syndrome and fibromyalgia, Learning about the power of coaching has inspired me to take the conversation of health to new directions, leading to better, more resilient change in individuals who are able to move forward in multiple aspects of their life.

Today, I help mainly young professional women become stronger, happier and healthier in both mind and body, by educating, inspiring  and improving mindset, through tailored lifestyle medicine and coaching.
